Cuchi Cuchi in Central Square is a gem – I don’t know why we never ate there before. We had an amazing array of food and drink there last night, surrounded by lamps, beads, kimonos, stained glass, and Charo-related art. After we left, Aimee and I strolled past the former location of Mama Gaia’s Caf? (the name returned to me after a strenuous few minutes of googling), where I must have spent at least three hours every day of my unemployment, drinking tea and using their free wireless connection (read the article for a look at the free wireless at Carberry’s, where I also set up shop for a good few weeks during the same period). They closed down in 2002, and now it’s an Indian restaurant.

We went to Stephanie and Andrew’s place for a party after dinner, and it was once again inspiring and envy-inducing to see an actual house with an actual living room, filled with great books, cds, and art, and notably free of roommates. The crazy group of people we met there, from a Harley biker from the Cape to a private-eye in training, made it all the more fun. Adulthood looks better every day.
