A classic small town race, this was both a benefit for a nonprofit doing work in Zambia as well as a race in memory of a local runner and VW Beetle mechanic. The bibs were reused from other races (this was not the John & Jessie Kelley Road Race), old race t-shirts were given away, and the whole event had a great feel. It felt about as far away as one could be and still be in Connecticut, and of course, my results were the same as usual, ~25 mins. and fourth in the age group. Will 50-59 bring a change one way or the other? We’ll see.
