Dinner (salsa verde, of course) at El Pelon and then a concert at the Paradise? It’s 2005 all over again. As great as it was to see Ride for the first time last month, it was an even more memorable experience to see them in one of my favorite venues in the world, the renovated but not unrecognizable Paradise Rock Club in Boston. A mainstay of our years in Boston, it was a place I hadn’t been back to in ten years, so I jumped at the chance to see Ride there. They certainly delivered, playing an energetic show to the rabidly enthusiastic sold-out crowd. It’s still a little unbelievable that this tour, this concert, actually happened. Amazing.
