Back in the fall of 2007, I attended my first Lebowski Fest in Los Angeles. This year, its fifteenth anniversary, I thought I’d go again, and see the film in 35mm for the first time since it came out.

I’d never been to the Saban Theater before, so I was happy to be able to see the inside of another beautiful Los Angeles movie house.

I left to get a drink (I knew it would probably just be a beer, having heard word that the bar had run out of Kahlua; guess they didn’t get the memo), and it happened to be at the exact moment when Jack Black, dressed in an Elvis jumpsuit, came on stage to belt out “Viva Las Vegas.” So I missed that..but I did get my hair mussed by Jeff “The Dude” Dowd as he was dancing in the aisle and being filmed by some European documentary crew, so who knows when I might appear on screen in the future. The movie was great to see with an appreciative audience, and I was happy to have seen some of the colorful cast members pay tribute to their favorite film.
