Caterham construction

March 8th, 2008 · No Comments

It may not look like much, but it’s a lot of fun to build and will hopefully be even more fun to drive. I’m in Greeley, Colorado for the weekend helping my dad put together his Caterham Seven, which might be nearing half-way done? Who knows. I got in last night, and after breakfast, we worked all morning and afternoon (with a break for J.B.’s Drive-In for lunch, root beer floats and car hop service…), and made some good progress, I think, on the interior carpeting and the side panels, which I did some major rivet work on. My aunt and uncle came down from Nebraska for dinner, and it was great to see them and get their perspective on the car – “Didn’t it look like this when we were here at Thanksgiving?” I’ll have most of the day tomorrow and then head back in the afternoon. Maybe it’ll be on the road one day, one of these years.
