Last week, I returned from a six-day trip to Los Angeles, my first, to visit some film archives and labs and to see the sights. I had a great time, visited some amazing places, and enjoyed getting to know L.A. a little. Requisite celebrity sightings: Eric Idle and Queen Latifah (not together). I visited the Getty and the Museum of Jurassic Technology, saw Sondre Lerche in concert, wandered the boardwalk in Santa Monica, took in the beaches and canals of Venice, and got stuck in traffic.
