It’s funny, looking at this photo of Grace now, how she’s instantly recognizable to me, yet looks nothing like the Grace of today. Here, on October 2, 2010, she’s not even three months old, as she sits in my lap at a park in Los Angeles.

There’s nothing like having a kid to make you feel confused about how old you are. Is 35 old? Young? Now that I’m a dad, I compare myself with my memories of my dad, and think, am I as old as I remember thinking he was then? Whatever the answer, Grace made everything seem different, and our lives haven’t been the same since. Every once in awhile, I miss those days when I could carry her in one hand.
