I think we can stop counting the days, now, as we’re moving on Saturday.

On Monday night, we tackled the last two areas that hadn’t gotten painted, the bathroom and the laundry area. I did a coat of paint on each, and Aimee took on the glorious task of removing the last of the hated wallpaper, a piece of flowery trim above the sink. We’ll have to repaint that area as the paint revealed underneath is a different color than the surrounding paint, but we’ll get to that later.

Tonight we took a break, our first night off since the night we got the keys, as I determined this morning that the paint job we did last night was sufficient after one coat. Now it’s time to pack what hasn’t been packed yet, and get ready to actually move in. The hardwood floor is looking great, and it ought to be done tomorrow, with time to dry before we move in and scuff it all up again.
