Holiday movies

We went to see Atonement tonight, a very good movie at a very…old theater, one that needed a lot of love and looked like it was getting only neglect. Someone had burned the popcorn when we arrived, so they were airing the theater out, leaving the whole place either freezing or smelling like burning. Oh well, places like that are dying out, so we should appreciate them while we can. Mark and I caught an early show of I Am Legend yesterday, which was surprisingly good, as well. This may turn out to be one of the better moviegoing holiday weeks in recent years.

We had a very nice Christmas this morning with the whole family, and I spent much of the day in a familiar Christmas activity: building with Legos. I don’t think Jack realizes how much I enjoy putting his gifts together for him…
