Hometown team

We attended our first Dodger game on Tuesday, and though we stayed to the eighth inning, that turned out to be only half of the game, which went to 16, with the boys in blue prevailing around midnight. Half of the Red Sox – D-Lowe, Nomar, Bill Mueller, Grady Little – are here now, which is kind of strange, yet also nicely familiar, I guess. We made it from work to the stadium and were parked and at will call before the first pitch, which doesn’t seem to bad to me. The non-freeway streets around the stadium on our approach were remarkably free of any kind of signage, so we knew we were close but had no idea how to get to the ravine. We eventually found it, after passing a pulled-over Kiefer Sutherland blocking one lane of traffic in his Range Rover, and enjoyed the view, the game, and the food. It’s a great stadium, really, simple and unadorned, with great views of the game and the surroundings. I look forward to going again soon, hopefully before the end of the season.
