UK 2000

July 26th, 2012 · No Comments

Having had such a great time the year before, I decided to head back to the UK in 2000, taking advantage of cheap Virgin Airways tickets and another two-week spring break. Brent joined me from Seattle, and we rented a car (a Skoda, this time), and headed up to Scotland. The trip was a little less all-encompassing than the previous one, but we made stops in Cambridge, the Peak District, Manchester, and Edinburgh, among other spots. Thanks to Brent, we actually made friends in the youth hostel in London, and returned at the end of the trip to hang out with our new mates. The trip was a little marred when we returned our rental car and were asked to pay for repairs when a rental car company van backed into it, but we quickly got over it and had a great time in London (needless to say, the accident wasn’t our fault and we didn’t pay).
