Walking L.A.: Laurel Canyon

May 25th, 2008 · No Comments

Yesterday we took a (very) brief walk around Laurel Canyon – rather, around the grocery store and past the house where Jim Morrison once lived. We were meant to walk up the Prospect steps and back down the hill on the other side, but the steps were blocked and overgrown at the top, so we turned around and went up from the other side. It’s yet another fascinating little neighborhood full of steep staircases, houses built on top of one another, and a lot of interesting history.

. We bought me a suit for Matteo’s wedding in Italy, which is fast approaching, and cleaned up the house before we got up to Solvang today for a little wine tasting and a look around. We had a great time meeting Michael and Ali’s beautiful baby on Friday night, and have been enjoying a busy spring so far. Aimee only has two weeks of school left, which is hard to believe, and then we’ll be off on our various summer adventures.
