Things look a little different here today, hopefully for good. After a week of fiddling around and a half-hour or so of thinking I’d solved things, my great Movable Type project of 2007 came to a screeching halt, and I decided to jump ship to WordPress. So far, I’ve been able to wrangle it into acting convincingly like MT, except without the incessant cgi script errors: it’s the best of both worlds. The design will be evolving, but at this point, I’m not too concerned. I’d just like to get back to blogging without worrying about whether or not it will save properly. Everything seems to be working fine; it’s a strange feeling, not having to hit “rebuild” every time I want to see my changes. Hmm…
