Fun and film in Austin

December 7th, 2005 · No Comments

I returned this weekend from a great trip to Austin for the annual AMIA Conference, four days of panels, screenings, and hanging out with all sorts of fascinating people in the world of film archives. Each conference seems to be better than the last – this was my third – especially in terms of getting to know people in the field. Plus, screenings of 70mm films and 4k digital projection were both pretty amazing. The past and the future, all in one afternoon…

Why this is the “best corner ever,” I doubt any of us will ever know.
