In my mind, the visits consisted of looking at giant steam engines and buying plaid cowboy shirts, though we probably did other things, as well.  During our 2005 trip from Seattle to Rochester, Aimee and I stopped in Wheatland to visit my cousin and her family.  Here, her husband and daughter hold a few of the many impossibly cute puppies that had been born just a few days before.  That was a nice visit.<\/p>\n<p>We spent a few days in Wyoming during that trip, admiring <a title=\"Quite a sight on Flickr - Photo Sharing!\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/btmeacham\/38285289\/in\/set-844501\/\">the Grand Tetons<\/A>, watching <a title=\"Off he goes on Flickr - Photo Sharing!\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/btmeacham\/38285645\/in\/set-844501\/\">a bison cross the road<\/A>, eating a milkshake at <a title=\"Inside the Yellowstone Drugstore on Flickr - Photo Sharing!\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/btmeacham\/38286159\/in\/set-844501\/\">Yellowstone Drugstore<\/A> in Shoshoni, stopping by <a title=\"Hell's Half Acre on Flickr - Photo Sharing!\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/btmeacham\/38286722\/in\/set-844501\/\">Hell&#8217;s Half Acre<\/A> &#8211; and of course,  nothing says &#8216;road trip&#8217; like a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/btmeacham\/38285888\/in\/set-844501\/\">giant jackalope with a seat on it<\/A>. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We visited Cheyenne, Wyoming a number of times during trips to northern Colorado as a kid.
