{"id":598,"date":"2008-06-21T10:05:45","date_gmt":"2008-06-21T17:05:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.doubleperf.com\/blog\/?p=598"},"modified":"2008-06-23T07:38:06","modified_gmt":"2008-06-23T14:38:06","slug":"50_states_rhode_island_45","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.doubleperf.com\/blog\/archives\/2008\/06\/21\/50_states_rhode_island_45.html","title":{"rendered":"50 States: Rhode Island (45)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/btmeacham\/2438239726\/\" title=\"50 States: Rhode Island by btmeacham, on Flickr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3236\/2438239726_7d342a717d.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"666\" alt=\"50 States: Rhode Island\" \/><\/a><BR><BR>These states are all out of order at this point, but I saved Rhode Island, where, I&#8217;ll have everyone know, I once sang in an a cappella group in the East Greenwich High School cafeteria, until this point in the chronology because even though I&#8217;d been there a number of times before 2005, it wasn&#8217;t until then that the most important state in my Ocean State history happened: <a title=\"  The Wedding Story\" href=\"http:\/\/www.doubleperf.com\/blog\/archives\/2005\/07\/11\/the_wedding_story.html\">our wedding<\/A>.  It seems sort of strange to think that we I got married in Rhode Island; neither Aimee nor I (nor our families) are from there, and we&#8217;ve never lived there, but it was the only place that made sense when we were planning the event.  We&#8217;d spent summer weekends at Aimee&#8217;s family&#8217;s place in Portsmouth, and the spot where we got married, overlooking the ocean, was absolutely beautiful.
