Today was the day, and I think we picked a good one. A big race, nearly 600 runners, with a band, face painting, glitter tattoos, balloon animals, and cotton candy at the end. I told her not every race was like this&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>She ran pretty consistently for the first two miles, and then off and on over the last mile, with a good strong push on the high school track that was the final stretch to the finish line. I&#8217;m not sure I would have been up for 3 miles when I was six; according to the results, she was the youngest runner, and she had a great time.
