In Danbury, where I&#8217;d only ever been for a postcard show almost 20 years ago, I ran the Spirit of Danbury 5K. It was another small race, just over 50 runners, and I found myself running near the front in the all-downhill start. I think I did a decent job keeping myself at the right pace; I figured the kids who sprinted out and flew down the hill would soon tire, and though they didn&#8217;t, I didn&#8217;t go so fast as to wear myself out, either.
