Yesterday, I finally watched the ‘part two of two’ cliffhanger finale that opens Series Two of “MI-5,” aka “Spooks<\/a>.” The resolution itself was a little hollow – there’s a bomb in the house, the protagonist’s girlfriend and her daughter are trapped inside…but the bomb doesn’t go off. OK… It’s interesting to note that the series is running here in the states on A&E<\/a>, but the show itself is a full 59:00 long, so they must be edited to allow for commercials here. In the UK, they’ve just finished Series 3<\/a>, with a new one scheduled to start later this year. Like I said<\/a>, it’s not the best show around, but it’s a lot of fun to watch. The episodes feel more like mini-movies, with enough time for some interesting plot developments. <\/p>\n

A few lessons I’ve learned from watching “MI-5”:
1. We are right to be suspicious of window-less panel vans<\/A>.
2. All men from the Balkans have great hair.
3. International terrorists prefer speaking in extended metaphors.
4. Surveillance cameras are always set to shoot at artistic angles.
