My second Movie Week has come to an end, another enjoyable tour around some of Los Angeles’ most interesting movie-going venues. After the first time I tried it<\/A>, late last year into this year, I had a list of a number of theaters I didn’t visit, ready for the next opportunity. I made it to five of those this time around, and could easily come up with a list for next time, which would have to include the ArcLight, the Aero, any of the first-run theaters in Santa Monica, the Chinese in Hollywood, and the two landmarks of Westwood, the Bruin and the Village. We’ll see when I get another chance to tackle them; for now, here’s the wrap-up from this week:<\/p>\n

1. The Gay Divorcee<\/I> and Lady and the Tramp<\/I><\/a> at the Dunn Theater
\n2. 5 Fingers<\/I><\/a> at the Bing at LACMA
\n3. Magic BMX<\/I><\/a> at the Silent Movie Theater
\n4. The Red Shoes<\/I><\/a> at the Billy Wilder
\n5. The Hurt Locker<\/I><\/a> at the Majestic Crest
\n6. Not Quite Hollywood<\/I><\/a> at the Nuart
\n7. Funny People<\/I><\/a> at the Vista<\/p>\n

The theaters ranged from 2.1 miles away (the Nuart) to 14.4 miles away (the Vista), and the prices ran from free (the first four nights, thanks to my badge) to $11 at the Crest. The paid tickets were all within a dollar or two of one another; averaging in the free passes brings the average price to less than $4.50 a show, which puts us back somewhere in the late 1980s.<\/p>\n
