My memory of the place is vague, and is wrapped up with memories of an <A HREF=\"http:\/\/www.parks.wa.gov\/parkpage.asp?selectedpark=Fort%20Worden&#038;pageno=1\">abandoned fort<\/A> nearby, but we stayed there more than twenty years ago, and I recall thinking it was very cool.  According to the <a title=\"The Seattle Times: Local News: Historic castle (plus ghosts) destined for highest bidder\" href=\"http:\/\/seattletimes.nwsource.com\/html\/localnews\/2001924285_mansion10m.html\">article<\/a>, it goes up for auction tomorrow, and much of the story concentrates on its reputation for ghosts.
