The Superfecta

Since I started at work a year ago, we’ve been attending the screenings of new releases that go on twice on Saturday and twice on Sunday nearly every weekend of the year. Our first movie was Talladega Nights, so it’s not as though the films are exclusively highbrow or serious. In fact, often enough, there are only one or two films I want to see in any given month. You’ll get a Casino Royale or a Borat, but it will be accompanied by something like Surf’s Up. Aimee and I went to two movies in one day, but only once, and I’ve often thought about making a run of the weekend, if the films were strong enough. Well, this may be that weekend. I’m currently waiting for In the Shadow of the Moon to start, and the rest of the lineup is made up of 3:10 to Yuma, The Nanny Diaries, and Shoot ‘Em Up. Now, that may not sound particularly auspicious, but it may not get any better, and I may miss my chance for superfecta.
