The lease is signed, the keys (and remote control to the gate) have been handed over, and we officially have an apartment in West Hollywood. The place has basically all of our must-haves (2 parking spaces, 2 bedrooms) and many of our would-like-to-haves (laundry in the unit, central air/heat, a working fireplace, dishwasher, extra half bath, fridge, disposal, and gas stove) and even some we never thought we’d get a chance to have (ivy-covered walls, gardener included, “imported” tile floors, mirrored liquor nook). It also happens to be in a nice part of West Hollywood, not far from some great bars, restaurants, and shopping.

We’re excited to be done with the apartment search and look forward to coming back in a few weeks to move in officially. In the meanwhile, the Golf, which we’ve affectionately nicknamed “Gordon” on this trip, will reside in the garage and keep an eye on things until we return.
