Getting hot under the caller

Every time I think I’ve heard the last of Karen Freeman, she surprises me with more voicemail messages. If you haven’t heard the first five messages, you can check them out here, though pretty soon, I might have to make a new category just for her.

Tim, Mari, Aimee, and I were chatting about how weird these messages are on Friday night; little did we know that at the exact minute and hour that we met, Karen was on the line from Naples, leaving me two more messages, which were followed quickly by a third on Saturday. This time around, she’s not as coherent as she used to be, and I have to say I’m a little concerned. I don’t say “coherent” to mean that her ideas made sense, but that at least she was using complete sentences, sort of – this time around, it’s just a string of words, spoken with a hurried, worried tone of voice. Before I leave this place in a month and a half, I’m definitely calling her and chatting about her grand ideas and what we can do about it. Really.

History, the film industry, Edison. We were colonized by the English. War of the Worlds, H. G. Wells’ The Invisible Man. Alfred Hitchock: The Birds, Psycho. World War Two, Adolf Hitler comes to America, takes over the Pentagon government systems. Walter Cronkite look-alike David Brinkley takes over media and communications. People like Hearst, Beverly Hills Hillbillies, a water extermination. Entertainment industries, New York Macy’s Day fraud. Bubonic Plague, known as the ‘scarlet letter of New England,’ renamed the AIDS virus. Blue Man, water plagues in Las Vegas. Burning Man nuclear problems. Um, GE, Jack Walsh, early, medicine, nuclear, and photography and media and communications GE GTE GM, tanks and military. The film industry has a government allegiance. Military snuff movies, the Asians who saw what was going on in the entertainment industry were snuffed out. Then, you look at Vietnam, kids hip to the administration snuffed out. Then look at Charlie Manson, and the TV and entertainment takeover. SS, Helter Skelter [beep beep] 1960s, Watergate, two-way TV surveillance. Marilyn Manson, the British Invasion, once again, World War Two, Adolf–
