Off to St. Louis

It’s been a brief, busy week, and it’s hard to believe it’s already Friday. It was crunch time at work to get the calendar done and to the printers, and then I had the added task of getting it all translated to the website. I finally had a chance to put my new computer through its paces with the web work, and it’s amazing what a difference it makes. For the first time in a long time, I was only slowed down by how quickly I could type or move the mouse, instead of having to wait for my laptop to deal with something.

Aimee and I enjoyed a delicious dinner tonight at Chez Henri, somewhere we’d often said we should go but had never gotten around to visiting. Tomorrow morning I leave for St. Louis to spend the weekend hanging out, catching a Cardinals game, and taking part in the 7th International Photobooth Convention. I’m still preparing my talk on Photobooths in Cinema (using Keynote – I never used PowerPoint much, but wow, Keynote is a stunning program and a huge improvement over the world’s default presentation software), but I should have it done in time…for the audience of three that will be there to listen to it. Who knows – maybe we’ll be surprised and people will actually show up.
