First frappe of the season

Sometimes I love the way my mind works: this morning, our parent institution had an all-staff meeting, the kind we rarely get asked to attend, thankfully. Stunned as I was by the unending flow of jargon that was coming from the person leading the meeting, I was going in and out of actually paying attention. When I heard the name of someone who will be playing a role next fall – Mr. Hamburger – I immediately thought of Mr. Bartley’s Burger Cottage, home of expensive burgers and thick frappes. I had also gotten up early this morning, so I was a little on the hungry side as well. Since I’ve already eaten my one burger for the year, my mind went right to Bartley’s great frappes, and though it isn’t really spring-esque outside, I immediately got a craving for one of their fine concoctions. I headed over at lunch an ordered an extra-thick chocolate – “One chocolate western!” went the order to the kitchen – and am currently enjoying it very much, thank you.
