Find a red dot, this one’s taken

The last time we went to my friend Mark’s opening, we liked what we saw, and so did a lot of other people. One of those people liked the painting we liked a little more, or a little more quickly, than we did. By the time I told Mark we’d buy it, it had been spoken for. This time, we were ready to pounce, and we came away with our very first original piece of artwork (not counting the camel painting I found in the trash that still hangs on the inside of my door). It was a win-win moment, as we got to admire a beautiful work of art and make it ours thanks to a generous ‘friend of Mark’ discount, and Mark got to pocket some rent money. Apparently, the painting was going to be used in trade for web design services from a friend, but since I have no website to link to for his paintings, the web work hasn’t yet been done, and the painting was still available. It will be the nicest thing to grace our walls for years to come.
