OK, so it’s very small, but it now exists. I received in the mail today my copy (359 of 2500) of the CD Baby-produced “official bootleg” of the Pixies’ return to Avalon in December of last year. I opened it up (nice job, everyone at Coudal / pixiesdiscs) and lo and behold, there I am, barely (but definitively) visible in the photo Joey Santiago took that forms the backdrop of the double-cd case. The photo is viewable online – I’m the third head from the bottom in between the neck of Joey’s guitar and the outstretched Arm of Rock – but it’s much clearer in person. Oh, and Disc 1 sounds great – I can’t wait to re-live it all again.
