We spent much of today holed up in Aimee’s apartment, watching the snow fall outside. The roads seemed well maintained, but any cars that were still parked on the street were nicely buried by noon, when the snow finally stopped. We cancelled screenings at work tonight, though last night was really the worse night, condition wise. It’s really beautiful outside, with a big heavy blanket giving a wonderful silence to the normally busy area, and a weird, post-apocalyptic feel to the neighborhood, as people with their shopping, their dry-cleaning, and their babies walk down the middle of streets usually clogged with traffic.
