Is a pace technically the same as a step? I read somewhere that a pace was the distance covered by taking two steps, but the Dictionary.com entry for “pace” doesn’t really concur. Anyway, 195 of ’em is the distance between my current apartment on Broadway and my new place on Antrim St., just down from the lovely Antrim House. I walked it today as I began thinking about whether or not I’d need a truck to move my possessions on August 1st, or just make a lot of little trips in cars. I’ll think about it some more.

To prepare for our trip to Alaska on Friday, I had to move my car to an area of Cambridge whose street cleaning schedule meshed with my travel schedule; anywhere that cleaned on or after the third Tuesday would work, so I used my handy DPW Street Cleaning Schedule to find out the street closest to me in Section F, Even Side, Cleaning Third Tuesday, and found a spot there. Hope the system works.
