Not that we should all look to MTV for validation when our friends are in bands, but it’s pretty great that Marty and the rest of the Social Club are featured on a new MTV “Advance Warning” compilation, and have their hyper-hyped bio written up to accompany the disc. They’ve got a record contract with a real record company (not to be confused with this or this), and their first real record is coming out in May. Couldn’t be more proud – and I’ll be there when they pack ’em in at TT’s (or move on up to the Middle East) next time around.
