The pizza was good, but the table was even better

Aimee and I enjoyed the company of Amy and Dave at their new place in Huron Village, just outside of Harvard Square, for pizza and wine tonight. We had a delicious potato pie from Real Pizza and a classic mushroom pie from Armando’s, both within walking distance of their beautiful, huge, spacious, roomy apartment. Well, it’s not that big, but compared to mine, it feels expansive, not to mention quiet. Hard to believe it was actually still Cambridge.

In addition to the delicious dessert selection Aimee brought from a bakery that is not the New Paris one in Brookline, but whose name I can’t remember, Amy and Dave’s new Norden table from IKEA was a big hit. No association with the famed bombsight intended, I don’t think. What does it mean when you start coveting others’ furniture? Perhaps it’s time for a place of your own. Or perhaps you just need an IKEA in your area code.
