Kernel panic days

I guess I shouldn’t have asked for that third thing to break last week; apparently, it’s our hot water. So our showers have been cut short since the show; maybe we used too much hot water getting ready, who knows. As for the other things that broke, I’ve taken my computer into MacEnthusiasts, a typically fascinating Mac shop, not quite on a Tekserve scale but still interesting, and I’m hoping to hear the least-bad new possible from them. After a few days off, too, I went for a little run yesterday and my foot doesn’t seem to have improved, so I’m heading in for some physical therapy next week to see what’s going on. Spring cleaning, indeed.

Our streak of victories at trivia ended at one last night, though I guess it wasn’t much of a streak. We made some dumb mistakes, messing up international capitals and confusing Robert Fulton for Eli Whitney (by portrait, not claim to fame). At least we aced the Oscar questions, and I was happy to make some contributions. We’ll be back next week, and we’ll check our work this time.
