I’m making an exception for today, and instead of a photo, I’m using this hand-cut silhouette that hung in my parents’ bedroom. I’m in costume (note the cloth around the neck) at the Renaissance Fair in May, 1986; was it no longer called the “Open Aire Pleasure Faire” at this point?
I finally did a little research and found that the “Bishop” signature is that of Rita Dorfmueller Bishop, and lo and behold, she’s still making hand cut silhouettes in Alaska to this day.
